OUR MISSION

We exist to unite caring donors like you with those who need help most. It’s as simple as that.

Ensuring that your donations have an impact, however, is not so simple.

Contributions to the United Way’s Community Care Fund reach 93 nonprofit agencies in a five-county region. Collectively, these agencies focus on improving education, financial stability, and health throughout our community.

Your gift supports such a diverse group of specialists because no single agency has the skill-set to address every health and human services need. On the contrary, the needs are intertwined:

without the right education, a job is at risk;
without a job, a home is at risk;
without a home, a family’s health is at risk;
without health, one cannot pursue education or a job.

Add in complications such as mental health, drug abuse, or disability, and it’s quickly apparent that the simple act of giving needs a systematic approach. Donating to one or even several agencies cannot effectively meet this community’s vast challenges.
