How I Live United

submitted by Volunteer
My name is Terry, and I’m a Cubmaster with Cub Scout Pack 53 in Waxhaw. While through the years I’ve helped hundreds of boys grow into outstanding young men, I have also had the pleasure of helping parents develop a deeper relationship with their children. I can remember one particular time when a father joined his son on a camping trip. For this father who grew up in the inner city, it became a first-time experience for both of them that they won’t soon forget. It was priceless just seeing this father’s eyes light up at the new experiences of hearing doves coo in the evening, seeing the stars twinkle above or wondering what made that twig snap in the night. Helping them create a lasting memory that builds trust between a father and son makes it all the more meaningful.
Helping families find the treasure inside by experiencing the outdoors. That’s how I LIVE UNITED.
