The Community Care Fund is a powerful way to make a difference in our community. The fund is made up of the undesignated donations from the annual campaign. Those dollars are then invested to support more than 200 programs run by 97 member agencies, making a real impact in our community in these areas:

Investing in Children, Youth and Families
Every child, young person and family in our community is prepared emotionally, physically, and educationally to be successful in life.

Building Strong and Healthy Communities
Every member of our community has access to healthcare and resources to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Every individual in our community has the skills, opportunities and support to achieve and sustain economic self-sufficiency to meet his or her basic needs.

Empowering Seniors and Disabled
Every person in our community has the support to live at his or her maximum level of independence.

Here are four reasons why the Community Care Fund is the way to donate to United Way:

  1. Your donation goes where it's needed most - United Way volunteers and staff examine research data, identify emerging needs and assess community services so that your donation to the Community Care Fund targets the most critical needs.
  2. You fund the full array of services needed to meet the many pressing needs in this community - People's needs are complex and interconnected. Few people who come to an agency have only one need. The Community Care Fund is the best way to make sure that the many services that people need to solve their complex problems are available.
  3. You know your dollars make a difference because outcomes are measured - The Community Care Fund supports specific programs at member agencies and those agencies measure program outcomes so you know your dollars have made a real difference.
  4. Your dollars stay local - When you give to the Community Care Fund, your dollars stay local and benefit people right here in your local community.
