By efficiently raising funds for each of these agencies, we drastically reduce the overhead that each nonprofit would incur if they had to run their own corporate campaigns. Furthermore, some agencies leverage your United Way funding – and the credibility that goes with it – into additional grants or government funding.

 

Perhaps our most important avenue for increasing effectiveness is our Citizen Review Process, through which we leverage the collective wisdom of more than 200 devoted volunteers to distribute your dollars where they’ve been proven to achieve the best results.
