Since 1931, United Way of Central Carolinas has been serving the Charlotte area. Today, this United Way serves a five-county region that includes Anson, Cabarrus, Charlotte/Mecklenburg, Mooresville/Lake Norman, and Union.

United Way of Central Carolinas is led by executive director Jane McIntyre, who joined the organization in August 2009 after leading the successful turnaround of the YWCA Central Carolinas. She reports to a reconstituted Board of Directors, which was reduced in size from 67 members to the current 24.

Board of Directors Meetings

Board meetings typically occur on the fourth Thursday of each month. Unless specified below, all meetings will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Room 214 at United Way’s uptown office.
